Introduction to Spearfishing

This course is for those with relevant experience, or at least having completed our Intro to Freediving Course. Spearos of all levels are welcome to come and improve your safety, equalization, efficiency, and sustainability. We will go in-depth into foundational spearfishing and foraging techniques, safety, equipment, regulations, identification, best practice, tips & tricks, and food prep and fish cleaning techniques. The information pertaining to the natural environment is geared toward Irish and UK waters. This Intro to Spearfishing Ireland course is full of important information, practice, and hopefully a bit of craic regarding all foundational things related to spearfishing and underwater foraging! We will meet in-person for two and half days [with lunch breaks]. Course includes mandatory online e-learning course, to be completed prior to course start date. * * Personal equipment not included – but we are happy to help you with purchase/rental ideas and discounts.
