Rusheen Bay Windsurfing run 2 Hour kayak trips running from Rusheen Bay into Galway Bay. The trips are a great way to get active, keep fit and see parts of Galway from another perspective. Suitable for all levels.
Weekly tours take place at 6pm from Monday to Thursday and every Saturday and Sunday from 10am-12pm or 2pm-4pm.
We run kayak tours on Saturdays or Sundays from 10am-12pm or 2pm-4pm. We also run tours from Monday to Thursday from 6pm-8pm if there is enough demand for it.
Every tour is weather and tide dependent so they do not run every week at every time.

Sometimes, especially if there’s a really high tide, we take a tour inside Rusheen Bay. The tour takes us along the back of Barna demesne and to the fast moving rapids at the mouth of the bay.
When weather permits, we kayak to the Salthill prom. It’s always the most memorable trip because most of us never see Salthill from the sea – something that everyone should experience!
Barna is a beautiful town and the pier is pretty much unspoiled. Just fishing board and fishermen! The pier is about the same distance away from Rusheen Bay as the Salthill prom, but in the other direction.
