Itinerary

Day 1Climbing Carrauntoohil:

There 3 main Hiking routes on Carrauntoohil

The Devils Ladder

6+ Hours, 11km

This is the most direct and straightforward route on Carrauntoohil. Nevertheless, it is still not to be underestimated. This is one of our favourite ways up Carrauntoohil.

Brother O’Sheas Gully

7+ Hours, 14 km. spectacular

This is one of the more spectacular and interesting routes and only recommended for people who are regular hill walkers or those with a good level of fitness.

Coomloughra Horseshoe

8+ hrs and 13km.  Requires a high fitness level gained from regular exercise. One of the finest walks in Ireland. This 12km hike takes in three of Ireland’s highest mountains.
